For the first time in eight years, the San Francisco Public Library is instituting a two week fine amnesty (May 3-16, 2009) program to encourage the return of overdue books and materials without penalty. (Books have to be in good condition). Overdue materials can be returned to any branch or the Main Library during the amnesty period
